Regulations For Trade Show Exhibitors

We appreciate your business! Please follow the exhibitor regulations for a most succesful event.



Move in and Move out:

It is necessary to follow the approved move in and move out times defined by event. All exhibits and exhibitor materials must be removed from premise during scheduled move out times.

Vehicles are prohibited to be driven into building for loading or unloading of equipment, supplies or booth material.


Concessions and Catering:

All food and beverage must be provided by the exclusive Dixie Center.
No food or beverage may be carried into the Center. Food and beverage sampling and/or distribution of vendor products in conjunction with exhibits must be approved by Convention Center management and caterer. The Center reserves the right to deny distribution and/or to regulate the size and types of samples. No sales of food and beverage items without approval from Convention Center management and caterer will be allowed.


Vehicles either liquid or gas-fueled, boats or other motor craft shall not be displayed- located indoors except as follows:

•Batteries are disconnected •Fuel in fuel tanks does not exceed ¼ tank or 5 gallons (19L) whichever is least.
•Fuel tanks and fill openings are closed and sealed to prevent tampering (new locking gas caps are approved)
•Vehicles boats or other motor craft equipment are not fueled or refueled while in building.
•All autos, trucks and vehicles on display must show the location on the approved floor plan 14 days prior to show date.


Fire Retardant:

All decorations, drapes, signs and display materials must be flame retardant to the satisfaction of the Fire Department


Compressed Cylinders:

Portable LP gas containers are allowed to be used temporarily for demonstrations and public exhibitions and must be attached to a stand or laid flat on the floor. Such containers shall not exceed a water capacity of 12 lbs (7 gallon container). Where one or more containers are present in the same room, each container must be separated by a distance of not less than 20 feet.


Combustibles:

Literature on display shall be limited to reasonable quantities. Reserve supplies shall be kept in closed containers and stored in compact manner. No cardboard boxes or any combustible materials may be stored on top of or near any electrical wiring in spaces behind the drapers or behind display.


Obstructions:

Aisles on show floor must be kept clear and free of obstructions. Chairs, easels, signs and demonstration areas shall not be placed beyond booth area into aisles.


Electrical Cords:

Extension cords shall service one appliance only and shall be a three-wire approved type (with ground). Spliced wires are illegal.


Cooking and Warming:

All cooking & warming equipment must be approved by Center fire safety engineer.


Misc.:

Helium balloons allowed only when secured. Open flame devises (candles) must be approved by the Center fire safety engineer.


Smoking:

No smoking is allowed within 25 feet of any public building in Utah.


Fire Regulations:

All exhibitors shall abide by all fire regulations in place during the time the building is being utilized.
